Approximately 85 students participated in the 2023 leadership conference on Nov. 3-5.

Participants completed team building activities at the high school and a ropes course at Camp Asbury in Hiram.

They also attended the soccer team’s Sectional Final game at Boardman High School.

Students enjoyed getting to know people that they do not ordinarily interact with.

“My favorite part about leadership was definitely getting to meet new people who I would never expect…like people I would see in the hall but never get to talk to,” junior Sophia Herron said. “Getting to be in a group and do activities with them was amazing.”

“My favorite activity was when we were with [guest speaker] Ted and did an activity with our family groups,” senior Sam Greico said. “We had to create a pac man machine using our bodies, and it was really funny.”

“It really showed me that no matter your background with anybody you can act respectful and have fun together,” junior Lizzie Katz said.
