A Rematch and a Win
The Bison girls basketball team faced rival Orange on Feb. 8.
It was their second time playing the Lions in less than two weeks. They had suffered a devastating loss to Orange on Jan. 29, ending with a score of 64-26.
This time it would be different.
The Bison surprised the Lions with an aggressive game, defeating their rivals with a score of 57-53.
Senior Aaliyah Edwards described the game as the highlight of the season.
“It was amazing because we were the underdogs,” she said. “We had lost our previous game against them, and we came back with hard work and dedication and showed them we’re better.”
Junior Taylor Blackwell helped clinch the win with 20 pts. that game, exceeding her season average of 14.
The team finished their season on Feb. 16 with a loss to Copley.
