In Mind Over Match, Ethan Malek explores the mental health challenges teen athletes face, both on and off the field. From the pressure to perform and meet expectations to the struggle of speaking up about stress or anxiety, many teens feel overwhelmed. Coaches and players share real experiences, and research shows that while sports can cause stress, they can also build self-esteem and support. The episode encourages open conversations, safe spaces and better support systems to help athletes stay strong — not just physically, but mentally too.
