Beachcomber Editor Max Bleich Turns in Article On Time

Online Editor-in-Chief Max “Round Bulb” Bleich of The Beachcomber submitted an article on time this week: the first time since he was a freshman.

Beachcomber adviser and English teacher Josh Davis was extremely surprised with Max’s timely turn in.

“Max has historically been the last person to turn in articles this year,” Davis said. “Sometimes we would get a final cut the day before we sent to press. Once he actually prevented us from going to press on time. I was ecstatic that he finally got something in on time.”

We reached out to Bleich for comment.

“I’m very proud that I’ve turned in an article on time for once. It really proves that if you put your mind to something, put some effort in and always work hard, you will reach your goals,” Bleich said. “I just really wish Courtney and Sam were here to see this,” he continued, referring to Beachcomber Editors-in-Chief from the 2012 and 2011 school years.

Since turning in his last article, Max has officially lagged behind two other articles due, both of which are regarding actual school news and not the latest technology craze.

“It’s a shame they give someone like that so much power as Online Editor-in-Chief. What a disgrace,” said Opinion Editor Cathy Perloff in a telephone interview.
