When students walked into BHS on the first day of school, they may have noticed that the three flags waving in front of the school were lowered. the American flag, the Ohio flag and the BHS flag were all flying at half mast.
“This [was] the order of the Ohio Governor, governor John Kasich because on August 25th astronaut Neil Armstrong passed away at the age of 82,” said Assistant Principal Paul Chase.
Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon, was a heroic American figure from Wapakoneta, Ohio.
As reported by The Guardian, Armstrong passed away because of heart complications following his heart-bypass surgery earlier in August.
