This year’s homecoming went well, despite concerns about the construction. Many students were pleasantly surprised to see that the dance location had been changed from the cafeteria to the gym. By 8:00, people had already begun dancing.
“It was great. Only problem I had was that there should have been [soft] drinks instead of water, and bigger cups,” said sophomore Travone Sopher. “The DJ was great, and they should use him again.”
“The DJ was actually good this year,” said junior Devin Moore. “The dance this year met my expectations.”
Student Activities Director Craig Alexander explained the change of venue. “It was an occupancy issue. We weren’t sure how many people would show up, and it might not have been a safe choice to use the cafeteria,” Alexander said.
