On Wednesday, April 13, English teacher Casey Matthews and ASL teacher Sharon Weisman had their rooms flooded with water. Matthews said, “I was sitting in my room and I heard a metal on metal noise, like someone was hitting a pipe with a wrench or hammer. My first thought was that someone was doing work on the roof.” The noise then continued for a few minutes until eventually, water was pouring out of her ceiling. Luckily, it was her planning period, and nobody was injured. But what was the origin of the water? It turns out that a pipe burst in Weisman’s classroom heater. Although the damage was rather extensive– flooding both classrooms and confusing students and staff– both classrooms should be operational Friday or Monday, depending on how fast the floor dries up.

Wow, it sure seems like Mrs. Matthews was in hot water on Wednesday.
