Beachwood’s newest math teacher, Alex Fryberger,  has taught for the last three years  in Elyria City Schools.

Fryberger, who goes by Fry or Fryberger, is happy to be teaching at Beachwood.

“The community here is so great,” she said. “I love how tight-knit this school is and that I get to know so many of my students.”

She is also happy that the class sizes in her geometry and algebra II classes are  smaller than they were in Elyria.

Fryberger stays busy with her hobbies when she isn’t teaching.

“In my spare time I do Judo, a Japanese martial art centered around throwing your opponents,” she said. “I’m also very outdoorsy and an avid hiker, so I feel very grateful to live in Cuyahoga Falls. I have a national park in my backyard. ”
