On Monday May 2, BHS Green Dream teacher Greg Perry and BHS Alumna Hillary Sadler rushed to Washington D.C. after receiving an invitation to attend a ceremony held by President Obama to recognize America’s teachers.

Sadler, now a student at Suffolk University in Boston, was honored to be a guest at the White House event. Sadler was the CEO of Perry’s Green Dream program last year.

The ceremony honored nationally recognized teachers for their dedication to education. Sadler reflects on her White House visit: “I think that Obama’s movement with the Department of Education is great and I think that only good things are to come. It was a great experience and a great honor to be chosen as a guest.”
