Thursday afternoon the Beachwood Bison football team once again triumphed in the face of adversity. Playing on Thursday the Bison were able to win 41-13 at home against the visiting Berkshire Badgers, despite the absence of running back Ari Sobel who was injured earlier in the week during practice.
Corey Jones took over the full running back duties and was able to rush for touchdowns of 4 and 12 yards. Jones also returned a kickoff 75 yards for a touchdown. Chris Lardie returned a blocked Berkshire punt 40 yards for another score. Alex Hohl had to do a little more passing in this game, which may have led to his first interception of the year. Hohl threw two touchdowns, however, one of 7 yards to Darrell Sullins and another of 75 yards to Jacob Sabroff.
With the win the Bison improve to 6-1(4-0) on the year while the Badgers fell to 2-5(0-2). The Bison travel to take on the Hornets of Kirtland 7-0(3-0) next week in a CVC crossover matchup that has CVC championship implications for both teams, as well as playoff implications for the Bison
