The event was organized by BHS students Haley Bogomolny, David Corty, Michele Ordillas, Abby Ordillas, Erlein Tacastacas and Chad Tindel.
To start the concert off, Beachwood City Councilman Fred Goodman showed his support in congratulating and commending Abby for her hard work and the determination it took to put together an event for a great cause.
The concert consisted of instrumental solos, singing and dancing. The auction items included an iPhone, a gift certificate to The Melting Pot, and a piece of ceramic art. After the performance, the winners of the raffle were picked.
Most people who came to the event were friends or family that came to support Abby and the cause.
“I think anytime high school students get involved in activities that are going to help other human beings [it gets them far],” said Mary Farrell, a friend of Ordillas family.
“[I came for] the cause and to support Abby…I think that what she is doing is a really good thing for the community,” said BHS junior Samantha Tall.
