Lockers have been ripped from their hinges, the ceilings and walls have been gutted, desks lay cluttered all over the wing, boxes stacked high. The math and science wings were cleared out on Thursday and Friday and the interior construction has truly begun.
By the time students and teachers return in the fall, most of the new building’s academic wings will be complete. The new 100/200 hallways (which will be one story instead of the previous two) are also expected to be complete by the start of the new school year. And although many teachers will either be displaced or sharing rooms due the construction, it’s a small price to pay for a brand new school come 2013.
