A large crowd gathered amidst a carnival-like atmosphere at the Beachwood aquatic center parking lot on Sunday, Sept. 4.
The event, which lasted from 1:00 to 5:00, provided amusement park rides as well as interactive booths.
As in previous years, many BHS student volunteers, clothed in pink, set up booths an hour before the event began.
The high school marching band brought an assortment of instruments for children to try out.
Band Director David Luddington explained why encourages band members to participate in the event.
“We’ve been setting up this booth for five years now, ever since I started directing the band in 2012,” he said.
Luddington hopes to expose younger children to band and to teach them about the different instruments.
“Obviously the goal of this day is to encourage the younger generation of Beachwood students to join the band, but if we can get kids excited and interested in music it’s a win,” Luddington added.
The fair’s amusement rides included a 200 ft zip line course, blow up slides, and a 40ft tall climbing wall.
